At your place you'll find chilled juice and a composed fruit plate as simple in summer as a bouquet of mixed melons and berries or Ramona’s peach and blueberry “sunflower,” or as exotic in chillier weather as her Tropical Decadence: baked bananas, pineapple, raisins, nuts, and coconut melded with other luscious ingredients.
While waiting for your entrée and filling the room with the happy sounds of laughter, enjoy double chocolate, lemon-poppy seed, orange-cranberry, or carrot-pineapple muffins with pure unsalted butter and French preserves, or eat them plain. They're delicious either way. Or enjoy chocolate-chunk, cranberry-orange, or lemon scones. Or try the house specialty nut breads: pumpkin, banana, or sweet potato-pear.
But save some room for veggie frittata, Spanish tortilla, Florentine herbed eggs or eggs Benedict, raspberry-almond Belgian waffles, or banana-blueberry pancakes, with (or without) breakfast sausage or bacon. Have another cup of Tanzania Peaberry, Kenyan, or Mocha Java coffee or a proper pot of premium full leaf or herbal tea. If time allows, relax and enjoy more conversation. But if you must make a meeting or business appointment, take your leave well fortified, and be sure that although tomorrow the menu will change, it will be just as good!
